nano 2008.
May. 29th, 2009 08:33 amThis trip in Edmonton, I remembered a ton of media. I have GIGS of data with me, between a book of dvds for my daughter, 3 SD cards with my palm pilot, a USB hard drive that teilani loaned to me as mine is not very portable, and my mini laptop. Oh let's not forget the USB flash drive and mac mini that are stationed at my uncle's home as well.
Searching for a 175K file, yes 175K; a simple WORD document should not have been too difficult. Unless it was LEFT UPON MY PC AT HOME. GAH.
Saved by teilani via email, I can now peruse my 2008 NaNoWriMo document. While I do consider myself a "winner" as I have over 50,000 words, this particular story likely will be around the 100k word range so technically it is only half done. I have the majority of the story written via notes in notebooks (sans ending) and need to basically transcribe/rewrite my chicken scratch into actual words on page.
I reread through my notebooks yesterday as I had no actual nano file to read until speaking with teilani later on in the day once I was already back.
And now I am reading the file.
I do not think I have actually READ this before, aside from when the words flew onto the page originally. So far it's not terribly cringeworthy although it has it's spots. I figure today will be familiarizing myself with what is written upon those 201 word document pages and perhaps some more chicken scratch can be transcribed.
RESISTING THE URGE TO EDIT. I do not want to edit yet. I want to finish it then I can rip it apart. MUST. RESIST!!
